Keeping a little history in a traditional neighborhood

This beautiful property is located in the very desirable and historic neighborhood of Kensington, in the City of San Diego. The goal for this project was to transform the exterior and interior of the house in a way to hint to a time when the neighborhood was built. The original 1550 square feet home was in complete despair and did not have any architectural value. However, due to its location and the good sized lot was a challenge worth taking. Our architect redesigned the exterior and interior in its entirety while adding 1620 square feet and made its front porch worthy of a design award.

Our design team not only designed reworked the floor plan and exterior looks, but designed all the built in furniture, doors, kitchen cabinets and worked closely with the craft men in charge of the wood work. The charismatic new home owners felt in love with the home at first sight and have invited friends, family and curious neighbors to enjoy the transformed home, presenting it as a work of art and love.

Special elements of the home are the custom hand-made maple cabinetry in the kitchen and the dining room, the built-in cabinetry and vanities, the intricate and architectural masterpiece front Porch, with it hand-made decorative tile. Other features include the wonderful bathrooms with exquisite tile work, book nooks, elegant light fixtures, ample deck and a generous new 420 s.f. two car garage with high ceilings.
